Since COVID has struck the world, the nation, and our own state, it has been inspiring to see parents and children working together on various faith projects. In the original church people gathered in homes because there were not enough people. When there became enough people they didn’t have big enough buildings. When parents and children work together they are creating the domestic church. That is why we try to send family activities home as often as we do. It is heartening to see so many families doing this. When families talk about their faith and do faith projects together it give parents the opportunity to tell their children why the parent does what they do and believes what they say. This is really taking your Commitment to Parish Life to a deeper and more meaningful level. It is not something just done in church. It is something that is lived in the home and practiced when we interact with the rest of the world. Thank you for making this commitment and sharing it with your children. You are helping make them stronger Christians and Catholics.
