As you are well aware, the last few weeks have been filled with troubling events and stressful conditions. None more so than for our immigrant neighbors. We’ve all seen the bad news, but we are Good News people!
After many conversations with two of our closest community outreach partners, we are participating in an emergency "Pop-up" Food Shelf, and you are invited to help! With the help of CROSS Services, this "pop-up" food shelf will serve our neighbors and partners at two Mobile Hope Communities- Dayton and Corcoran.
CROSS Services will facilitate a targeted drive to collect specific food and essential items through a coalition of 8 faith communities and service organizations. These items are specific to the palate and needs of our immigrant neighbors. CROSS will organize the collection into pop-up ready pallets which will be delivered to, and distributed by, Mobile Hope Ministries in Corcoran and Dayton at a time that is safe and convenient for the neighborhood.
Please place items for this special collection in the bins designated for this drive in St. Joseph Hall, NOT in our regular CROSS Collection bin.
