Many years ago we had a guest speaker come to the parish who’s tag line was: “God is good. All the time. All the time. God is good.” God indeed has been good to us as people of faith. We might wonder why this is happening to us. In that sense we are much like Mary. Why have you chosen me, Lord? I think the reason we have been blessed with this virus is to make us stronger people. If we went to the gym to work out, we would not gain much strength unless we kept increasing the weights or the frequency of how many we were doing. You either get stronger or you wither. During these past 9 months you have shown to me that you have the strength of withstand this virus. While we have provided many various opportunities to do things, you have been the ones to implement them in your family. You have been very faithful in providing enough financial support to the parish that we have been able to find new connections on the net and have invented new things for you to do so that your faith may be passed on to others. Thank you for the tremendous outpouring of support during the Christmas season. May you discover that God is still walking with you during 2021 as we continue to persevere the struggle with COVID 19. This gift to us has caused to look at new ways to do things. I pray that when we do get back to some sort or regular activity we will again be able to gather as one community to sing God’s praises. As a staff we miss you, but we are aware that so many of your are doing great things. Keep up the good work.
