This is Fr. Ron’s last weekend with us. He now moves on to the Dominican Sisters in Sinsinawa, Wisconsin. It will expand his ministry skills as he moves from parish work to serving religious sisters. Since he is a priest of the Dominican Religious Order, he will be serving sisters who are a part of that same order. The town is too small to be a real town with businesses and homes. The people do not have little children, so he will not be doing baptisms. There probably won’t be any first Communions or first confessions and no Confirmations. It will be different, but we know he will do a great job because he has been a great minister for us.
At the same time, we would like to welcome Fr. Bob Hazel. Fr. Bob is a retired priest from the Archdiocese who served for many years at the other St. Joseph in New Hope. Fr. Bob retired a few years ago, and will be helping on weekends and on special occasions. Please welcome Fr. Bob as warmly as you have welcomed Fr. Ron and others who have been here to minister. Our faith family grows and evolves over the years, just as your family changes with weddings, births, and deaths. So we pray Fr. Bob journeys with us on our way to the Kingdom.
