He is risen! Alleluia! There is new life all around us. Our daffodils are blooming in front of the church and the tulips are well along the way. There are new animals and birds. Even the eagles have two in their nest. But the best part of all was having so many of you join us for the Holy Week and Easter celebrations. I used to be good at estimating how many people were in the building for church, but not Easter. I am sorry that at the 10:30 Mass we ran out of the full hosts/Body of Christ. Before the Mass it was great to hear you talking to one another. It almost sounded like a Mass from 2 years ago. I am sure you felt the great enjoyment of seeing people again and being able to talk to them even though we were 6 feet apart and wore masks. Many of you stopped to tell me this is the first time you have been in the building for over a year. It sounded that way. Your noise in the building before the Mass was a great sign to me that our faith community is alive and well. We cannot fill up the building like we did before. But we continue to have a strong, vibrant community who knows the value of interaction. Thank you for keeping the Body of Christ alive at St. Joseph the Worker.
