Staying Alert!

As many of you know they are working on Interstate 94 northwest of the parish.  They have been for 2 summers now.  Lately they are changing lanes daily.  I can get frustrated not knowing which lane to be in so I have to keep my eyes open to be able to exit where I want rather than ending up at St. Michael’s exit.  At least that in gone now.  Having to remain alert reminds me that we need to do the same to see God at work in our lives.  It is easy to fall into a rut and do the same thing day after day.  If I don’t keep my eyes pealed I could have missed God.  I need to keep my eyes pealed to see God working day after day in my life.  Sometimes it is hard because I think I know how things should go because that is what I have planned.  But it may not be what God has planned.  I cannot get locked into thinking God works the way I want Him to work.  God works in His way.  My job is to try to see it new every day.
