The Realities of Ministry

During the coming fiscal year there are a number of maintenance projects that we are looking into having completed within the next 12 months.  They include repairing broken and dangerous concrete, two of our air conditioning units have reached the end of their life expectancy and repair, the new projectors for the worship space and maintenance of windows in the building as well as in the church.  There are other projects as well.  During this past year I have tried to keep you up to date with where we are at fiscally.  During the past four years our income has remained relatively flat.  We had to reduce staff this past year to come close to having a balanced budget.  If our weekly giving were to increase by just $2500 per weekend we would be able to fix all the things we need to fix and end the year in the black.  The options are getting fewer.  Do we do a capital campaign?  Do we have second collections?  Do we stop doing the activities you like and want us to do in Faith Formation, Social Justice, Liturgy and Pastoral Ministry?  CPL is our commitment to you and your commitment to the parish.  We provide great leaders in ministry.  We now need you to provide great response to our real needs.
