We need you!

Some of the people who were involved in various ministries have “retired” so we are in need of many more.  We need more catechists.  We provide the materials and the teaching lessons as well as great support.  We need two people in every class.  We are in need of many liturgical ministers.  We would like more Eucharistic people as we are planning on returning the cup in the near future.  We need more proclaimers and hospitality people.  We are going to recruit altar servers again later this fall.  We need folks to host the social time after Mass.  We provide all the food and drink, we just need folks to help serve.  There are many other opportunities as well.  These are not just ministries we need, they are things parishioners NEED to become involved in.  Frequently when young people tell me in reconciliation that they don’t always do their chores at home I ask them to compare their home life to being on a team.  The team does better when everyone gives of their best.  Just as children need to be giving back as well as feeling needed at home, our parish needs you but you also need to show your faith in action.  So think and pray about which ministries you might be able to do.  Then contact the parish.  We now have someone in charge of ministries on our staff so we will do our best to get back to you quickly.
