The staff and I have been talking about how we see all of our activity as living the discipleship call to be Christ to others. Sometimes we talk about volunteers. More and more I am thinking that everything we do is really the ministry we have been called to. It could be something like shoveling the walk for a neighbor. It could be packing once a month for our “pack with a purpose” events. It could be working in the nursery or serving donuts after Mass. It certainly could be visiting our parents in a nursing home, or bringing them to our home for a meal. If you think about your home and the work you do there, it is all for the sake of the family. Doing laundry, cleaning, cooking, taking care of sick children and even playing with the toddlers is taking care of others. If everything we do in our home is for the sake of our family, then everything we do at church is for the sake of our faith family. That is what Commitment to Parish Life is all about. Serving the needs of one another. Thank you for your ministry to our larger family. Fr. Mike
