Commitment to Parish Life is a commitment that parish makes to you to provide support in times of joy and need, to offer quality ministries, a vibrant liturgy, and the opportunity to deepen your faith relationship with Jesus Christ. It is also the response we ask of you to make towards the church. We again have a wonderful example of you responding to parish life. This past week many of our high school students were engaged in Summer Stretch where they spent the morning at many sites around our area as well as the church in the morning. Then in the afternoon they built friendships with other students as they again went to various sites for fun activities. Sociologists have discovered that when people work together, eat together and engage in fun activities with each other that strong bonds form. These strong bonds help teenagers through difficult times at school, home and in society. Not only were there many youth here but also many adults. Thank you for providing a strong witness to your faith by working with these youth. They discovered God loves them unconditionally, how much this faith community treasures them as gifts from God, and how much adults value them as witnesses of God’s goodness to us all. Thank you for your commitment to the Life of St. Joseph the Worker.
