While we have been having Mass outdoors for several weeks now, we have been doing a variety of jobs inside the building and outside that we wanted to do when there were few people around. So this lack-down has proven beneficial in this way at least. Your generosity during these past 4 months has enabled us to maintain our employees and pay our bills. We have saved a considerable amount from decreased expenses. In addition some people have stepped forward to say they wanted to pay for most of these projects. That is how Commitment to Parish Life works. We all support one another during times of stress and need. Many folks have created “bubbles” of family, friends and neighbors where they mix a little more safely than with strangers. This past Sunday Fr. Don had folks waving their hands, flashing their lights and honking their horns. It is obviously not the same as indoors but it served to unite those who were able to attend our Car-Masses. Because of the cooler weather it was a delight to see families sitting in the SUV’s with the hatch open. Others in the bed of their trucks. And still others brought lawn chairs and sat outside their cars, careful to maintain their 6 feet distance. But even the youngest children enjoyed seeing others celebrating in this “picnic” fashion. Thank you for your continued support in making these things possible. Your faithfulness to CPL has made this parish particularly strong in dealing with the needs and worship experience of so many people. Fr. Mike
