This past weekend there was a woman visiting from North Dakota. She said when she first walked in she was wondering if we were a Roman Catholic church. She read the bulletin and it said we were. Then she asked about the kneelers and the Eucharistic bread. She did say she liked the big window and the light it allowed in. Then she commented about how wonderfully our parish sings and how we were so loud in prayer. She commented about how she felt welcomed by those around her and how good she felt about the songs we sang. As we talked she gushed with comments about how YOU made her feel when she was worshipping. So I also want to pat you on the back with how well you not only participate but make others feel that when they worship with us they become part of The Body of Christ in our midst. Commitment to Parish Life, CPL, is about forming family who not only eats together but loves and supports one another. You may not have realized how much you have “bought into” CPL, but your example to a stranger is a sign to me that you very much endorse this concept. Thank you for being alive in Christ all of the time.
