Confirmation Preparation
Confirmation preparation at SJTW is a 2-year process which begins in 10th grade. Confirmation Candidates receive the Sacrament the spring of 11th grade.
The preparation experience - which we call “gifted” - challenges our candidates to discover their own God-given gifts, talents and interests and to use them in their journey of discipleship.
“gifted” Event DatesConfirmation candidates would attend either the OneWith Faith Formation program at St. Joseph the Worker, or some students at Catholic High Schools would have an exemption to do their religious study through the school.
Most Confirmation students would be attending the OneWith program (dates for 2023-2024 are here) over their 10th and 11th grade years.
All students would attend the dates that are marked as "Gifted" or Confirmation that are listed on this schedule, including the retreats, whether they are part of OneWith or not.
Service ProjectsConfirmation Candidates are asked to complete 3 volunteer service projects over their 2 years of Confirmation preparation. Candidates are responsible to pick their project and complete a reflection. Students in 11th grade (Confirmation II) for the 2023-24 year should have their forms filled out by April 7, 2024.

Students enrolled in 2023-2024 should have their sponsor selected by January 21, 2024.
