At St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Community, we are committed to living out our faith through service. One of the ways we put our faith into action is through our longstanding partnership with CROSS Services in Rogers, a nonprofit organization that lovingly serves families and individuals in need right here in our local community.
Many SJTW parishioners volunteer at CROSS on a weekly basis, offering their time and energy to help stock shelves, organize donations, and more to serve others with compassion.
We also support CROSS through:
An ongoing food collection — there is always a non-perishable donation bin in the Faith Formation Gathering Space.
Annual donation of backpacks filled with school supplies, helping local children start the school year with confidence and the tools they need to succeed.
Special collections to support CROSS’ outreach to those living on the margins.
And much more!
If you are interested in volunteering or would like to learn more about how you can support CROSS Services, please contact Theresa in the parish office at theresa@sjtw.net or visit their website.
CROSS Needs Donations!
SNAP benefits will be pausing on November 1st due to the government shutdown and our friends at CROSS Services are in urgent need of donations. October 28 saw 200 families visit - their largest amount of people served in a day.
Their greatest need is financial donations, which you can make by clicking the donate button below. CROSS buys food wholesale, so your dollar is stretched further, providing more food for families.
If you'd like to donate food, they are also requesting rice, pasta, pasta sauce, flour, sugar, and oil. Place your donations in the CROSS bin in the Faith Formation gathering space. For an updated needs list, visit https://crossservices.org/donate-essentials.
