“So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.” - Galatians 6:10
Allen and Linda Krystosek have been dedicated parishioners of SJTW since 1988, participating in a variety of ways as Hospitality and Eucharistic Ministers, the Garden Ministry, and more recently, as money counters. They’re one of four money counting teams, working behind the scenes to carefully count the Sunday collection, hospitality contributions, votive candle offerings, and more. They share this important responsibility with their team partners, George and Rita Marx, whom they’ve been friends with for over 50 years!
Allen and Linda see the ministry as an extension of their stewardship. “It is a responsibility that we take seriously as we are processing the gifts parishioners have shared with God and St. Joseph the Worker.” They encounter Christ through the gifts being offered by parishioners, helping in the mission of SJTW.
Aside from money counting, they also find joy in spending time with their friends and getting to talk with SJTW staff members. “We enjoy the camaraderie and fellowship with our friends, George and Rita, as well as the interaction with St. Joe’s staff on our Monday counting days.”
