Haven for Heroes

SJTW’s partner, Haven 4 Heroes, is committed to supporting those who have served our country with the mission to provide a place of safety and refuge for veterans and/or their family members who, for whatever reason, need assistance. Haven for Heroes is a community. Each veteran will know they are not alone and that they are valued and loved by God who has the power to heal all wounds.

SJTW’s Involvement:

• As Haven for Heroes expands its cottages to welcome more veterans, our parish community donates much-needed items such as cleaning supplies, toiletries, bedding, and other household materials.

• Our volunteers prepare and serve home-cooked meals for these brave men and women, offering nourishment and fellowship in a warm and caring environment.

• Children in our Faith Formation program create treat bags filled with love, which are delivered to the veterans for a fun holiday treat.

• Our parishioners generously donate their time and skills to help with the upkeep and maintenance of the Haven 4 Heroes buildings, ensuring a dignified and welcoming space for those in need.
