This past weekend we passed out flowers to the women of the parish in honor of Mother's Day. It was a true delight to see so many faces of people who drove through. And I want to say a special thanks to Laura Fanucci who gave us permission to use her poem on our signs as people drove through and on the prayer card we were able to pass out to everyone. We had a couple of guests who participated in the drive through. It makes me smile when we discover that even with our Saturday events we continue to draw people from other parishes to our activities. It is a testimony to you of the vibrancy with which you lead your lives and give example to others. I continue to hear great stories about many parishioners who are going out of the way to check on one another, bring food to their neighbors, and simply engage their neighbors in contact to build up the sense of community in their neighborhoods. Commitment to Parish Life reaches beyond the building walls and into the hearts of our people. You have embraced the Good News of Jesus Christ and shared (evangelized?) to your neighbors simply because of your own faith. And that is where Christ dwells. Thank you for being a light to the northwest suburbs. Fr. Mike
