Once they are involved they see the need to continue that ministry. They recruit others to participate and the number of ministers grows. Once this has happened then folks commit money to see to the well-being of that ministry and the other ministries the parish offers. Since we have embarked on that program and the emphasis upon getting involved in ministries we have seen the amount of money we receive each week continue to grow year after year. By the time COVID struck two years ago we already had a number of ministries which people were supporting. So during the past two years we have been able to retain all of our employees (at least those who did not want to move on from us to somewhere else). They have wonderfully altered their work so that they now are involved in ministries that do not actually fall under their job description. So have you adapted. We celebrated Mass from the parking lot during summer months. We have used cameras to record and broadcast services and folks have taken communion from inside to those who feel safest outdoors. As the staff has adapted so too have you. That is a sign of a healthy family for circumstances always change and we are called to change with them. Thank you for your faithfulness during the pandemic.
