Winter has bene brutal this year. When I left for vacation some of the grass was showing on our lawn. When I returned 2 weeks later there was over 30 inches on the ground. Since then I have not gotten to walk the miles I did each day on vacation, but I have gotten to shovel 6 or so times. It seems that much of the snowfall has happened on weekends, so our attendance is down. If you have been unable to attend Mass at St. Joe’s recently because of the snow and cold, you have probably made a wise decision. But if you have gotten behind in your gifting to St. Joe’s for our Commitment to Parish Life, we need you to do your best in getting caught up. Heating, plowing, and a variety of other expenses have eaten into our reserves. We thank those of you who have braved snow and cold to attend church. The rest of us need to work to get the parish back on track with income so the extra costs can be absorbed. Thank you for your commitment to the parish. In return we promise to pray for you, serve you well, and manage your gifts wisely. Fr. Mike
