Draw Closer...

Last week I spoke about St. Ilia Delio and her explanation of a new concept about God, creation, and human understanding of our relationship with creation.  When you look at history and the comprehension of creation, human existence, and how we relate to God from hundreds and thousands of years ago, those things make sense.  Since we have discovered the earth in not the center of creation we have to look at our relationship to God in a whole new way.  One of the wonderful things about this new understanding we are undertaking it that it helps us see how we are related to one another and to creation itself.  We see ourselves as becoming more united to all of creation.  It is a journey that brings us to greater awareness as well as a closer bond.  The expertise you have in your particular field expands human knowledge.  All of this knowledge can help us see the interrelatedness we share with others.  Are you an active member of St. Joseph the Worker?  By engaging in some ministry you will draw closer to the other members of the parish and draw closer to God.  You may even experience a new appreciation for God working in your life.  Thank you for sharing your gifts and talents with us.
