Brothers and sisters, this virus thing is getting old fast. It seems even older than me. About the time we plan for one thing it needs to change because the virus changes. I am sure you feel the same thing. We face questions about sending our kids back to school; how, where and when do we shop and for what items; when back at work how much time do we spend at the workplace and how much can we do from home; how do we visit with far away family; how do we visit with our neighbors; and how do we worship? It seems to me that living without any certainty is probably the most exhausting. But you have remained faithful to St. Joseph’s and so many of you are finding ways for you and your family to minister to others. This weekend’s scripture readings speak to all peoples and all generations about how do we work to include people rather than exclude them? While CPL started as primarily a way to recognize ministry within the church, you have wonderfully expanded that to recognize that all people are really part of Church the way that Christ meant that word. Thank you for continuing to be a light to the northwest suburbs.
