Many of the parishes programs have started up again. It is always impressive to see how many people step forward to work in our many ministers. Many of the saints of old used to tell their people that people see the works we do and make judgements based upon observation. That is why our faith must be rooted in something besides my personal relationship with God. My actions reveal my deepest commitments. The reason I do work about the house is because of my commitment to my family. Without realizing it, the more I give of myself to my family the greater is my reward. That family experience translates into my church community. The more that I give of myself to the faith community, the greater is my personal satisfaction and the greater is my ownership of this parish as MY parish. Your home requires constant upkeep like cleaning the rugs and wood floors, painting rooms, making sure appliances work, mowing the lawn and removing snow. All of those things are also necessary for the church. We may call it a “new” building, but it is over 16 years old. We need your financial support to keep our house clean and functioning. Have you made your commitment to the parish yet? Fr. Mike
