Next weekend our parish celebrates the beginning of a new season. The fair will be over. Students, teachers and parents begin a new school year. We tend to settle into a “school year” routine. Many families have joined our parish this summer. And many have moved away. With our outdoor Mass at 10 AM on Sunday, followed by a picnic, we want to begin our own season with a wonderful celebration of being the Body of Christ in action. I encourage you to be aware that there will be no 8:30 or 10:30 Mass but one outdoors, on the grass, as a celebration of God’s incredible love for us as His children. This is one of the ways the parish celebrates the commitment we make to you as families who are part of a larger community, St. Joseph. Your participation will be your response or your own commitment to the community. Over the past 10+ years we have been blest with great weather, lots of fun, and a chance to be with friends once again. It is a wonderful way to recognize the uniqueness of this community. I look forward to seeing you. Fr. Mike
