The past week we had lots of our juniors in high school Confirmed at the Cathedral in St. Paul by Archbishop Hebda. It was a wonderful site to see so many family members there to support these young people as they accepted the personal responsibility to practice their faith. The Archbishop spoke about how many mentors there were for each person, parents, grandparents, siblings, teachers and coaches, and catechists and the adults of their parishes. While we had about 50 kids Confirmed there were hundreds of family present for the celebration of this Sacrament. I thought what a wonderful way to live out a Commitment to Parish Life. Family members went to great lengths to be here for this celebration and the sending Mass on May 6. Most of us probably do not see ourselves as mentors. But we are. People are watching us all the time, especially our youth. What do your children and your family see about you living your faith? CPL is a commitment to a faith family. When you celebrate with us on a regular basis your family, neighbors and those who worship with you see you living out your faith. You become a mentor for others. Fr. Mike
