If you ever get a chance to sit on the shores of an ocean you will see the waters ebb and flow. They go from well up onto the shore to going back out to sea so the beach is much larger. Our lives have a lot of that as well. As children our biggest concern is when do we eat, can we play with our friends, and when we have to go to bed. As teenagers we become a bit frenetic with school, extra activities, work and college prep. That slows down briefly when we settle down in a job, in a relationship, or when we have our own place. But it picks right back up again when we have children. It then slows down when we become empty nesters. There has been some ebb and flow to our lives because of covid as well. We know so little about this virus but it seems like we are beginning to understand it and how to adjust, but then there is a new wave of information that we don’t know how to process. The things we can cling to is Jesus and our faith. Jesus walks with us every day. That binds us as a community united in our commitment to one another on our journey to eternal life. Fr. Mike
