At my family gatherings there are so many people, and we all seem to be speaking at the same time. There is a dull roar. It was nice to hear this past weekend when we had so many first communions and a couple of baptisms, the roar of people singing and praying. After a couple of the Masses, people came up to me and said how impressed they were with the volume of singing and praying. The parish was full of energy. It is good to hear visitors say that our church family is full of this sort of energy that loudly proclaims the goodness of God and our thankfulness for the blessings we receive. Commitment to Parish Life is about the enthusiasm that is generated when everyone gives to the celebration, so others know we are glad that we worship Jesus Christ as our Lord. Thank you for living this commitment and making it apparent to those who visit us. Fr. Mike
