We began our Commitment to Parish Life 12 years ago. The company that gave us the idea talked about the need for people to give of their financial support so that we could do the ministries with parishioners' contribution of time and talent. I have recognized in this parish that people want to get involved in our ministries. We have dozens of opportunities in Faith Formation, liturgical activity, social justice ministries and pastoral ministries where we watch out for and help people who are in need of a listening ear. We changed up their concept and pointed out that we wanted to stress people’s commitments of time and talent. They were hesitant because they had never tried it that way. They were delightfully surprised when it worked for us. So we continue to stress to parishioners that we want and need you to be involved. Your participation is what makes this parish unique but also very successful. Thank you to all the current parishioners who, by your example, have shown others the value of investing of your time and talent to the success of St. Joseph the Worker.
