A number of years ago I had a cousin who was dying of breast cancer. I was amazed how my siblings flew from the corners of the US to attend to her for weeks at a time. They alternated so she always had someone with her. Only two months later her mother was dying of complications that go with aging. Again my siblings came from far away to sit and accompany her as she transitioned into death. What a tremendous gift for a family to attend so lovingly to the needs and care of another person. The parish of St. Joseph the Worker strives to be family to all of our members. We try to care for babies, children eager to learn of our faith, couples seeking to make the marriage commitment. And we are willing to sit, pray, and accompany those who are sick or in need of prayer. Our Commitment to Parish Life is about living out our commitment of being Catholic. Have you joined one of our ministries where you can grow, love and serve others? Fr. Mike
