There is a new author that I am reading, Sr. Ilia Delio, a Franciscan from Washington, D.C. She gives great insight into the new understanding of cosmology. Moving from a flat earth understanding to one where the earth is just one orb spinning through space along with millions of other planets and sun, our understanding of God and Jesus Christ has undergone a radical change.

It is wonderful to go into social hall after Mass and seeing so many children eating and playing.  It is one of the things that keeps them coming back.  What keeps you coming back?  

Recently one family gave me the opportunity to lift their infant car seat.  They are greatly superior to the old ones, and they never even existed when I was a kid. 

Winter has bene brutal this year.  When I left for vacation some of the grass was showing on our lawn.  When I returned 2 weeks later there was over 30 inches on the ground.  Since then I have not gotten to walk the miles I did each day on vacation, but I have gotten to shovel 6 or so times.
