We were doing so good, and then Christmas fell on a Sunday. Through Advent, we were where we hoped to be financially. With Christmas falling on a Sunday this year, it meant one less weekend in the year.
There is definitely a change of weather in the air. Hot to snow, to hot and then to cool would indicate that we are now back into the normal flow of the seasons in Minnesota.
We are well back into the swing of things at the parish. We have more children enrolled in Faith Formation classes then we have had for the past 2 years. Welcome back!
Did you know that almost 10% of our parishioners move out while others move into the parish every year? Years ago, we encouraged everyone to stop at a name tag table on the way into the church and to write your name on the tag.
If you own or are buying your home you know that the job jar never goes empty. Rooms need to be painted. Carpeting needs to be replaced. Appliances wear out. The roof, yard, air conditioning or furnace need constant care. The church is our community home.
